Site background: My new site is called "Little Coloured Bricks" (www.littlecolouredbricks.com) and is a news and fan site for LEGO. Look: I want a simple, professional, brandable logo, which will look good on different kinds of media as well as the website. I dont like logos that are just the name of the site in a fancy font, but if you think you can make this work, feel free to surprise me. The logo will replace the three bricks on the left hand side of the header, and will also be used on a facebook fan page. Prize: $40 via Paypal Time: Contest runs until Wednesday, August, 5th. However, I may cut the contest short if I receive an entry I like Thanks and good luck, Brew
Could you please provide the header background and specify the size of the logo as it appears on the site? Thnx
Hi All Here is some feedback: kpelon: Thanks for your entries. I feel that your first entry does not have a strong/memorable design - a pile randomly placed bricks doesnt make a strong brandable logo in my opinion. More strong/bold colours, but not over the top, are needed I think as well a strong but simple design. Your second entry is a bit too serious - it needs to have a sense of fun. As I said in my brief, the design needs to be something more than the name of the site in a fancy font. MantisArt: Thanks for your entry. I am after something a little more professional looking than this I am afraid. lejka: These are things that you do not need to submit an entry. zeasondesign: Thanks for your entry. I like your design alot - especially the simple version in the top left. Can you change the colours so that they are a little brighter (check out the colours of lego bricks for ideas). The colours are good, but they just need to be a tiny bit stronger. Thanks again for all of your entries. Brew
More feedback tickey: Thanks for your entry. I'm not sure what the speech bubble is about ? The colours are quite good in the word "coloured", but overall is not what I am looking for. suke: Thanks for your entry. I'm looking for something more proffesional. The third version is a good start, but it looks untidy to me. The fact that the bricks are not neatly stacked makes the logo imply that the site that it is for childish, and that is not the impression I want to have. The font on the bricks also needs to be changed. If you want to resubmit an entry you need to put in more work. zeasondesign: Your entries are great. You are the current favourite. Brew
Thanks for your feedback. Speech bubble here representing News, thoughts, reviews ... someone saying something about "LEGO".
