$40 Logo Contest winner takes all (via paypal)

phacker thanks for the new entry. I had a look at your portfolio and I must say there are a lot, and I really mean a lot of great designs I saw. I especially like the one with the eagle. I am sure you can do better once I explain exactly where you can improve your design for my liking. I hate wasting people's time though. What I would rather do is wait until Monday and if no one else enters I will then tell you what changes I would like to see before I pick a winner. I don't want to ask for changes unless I am sure your design stands a chance. At this stage I am still waiting for another entry from xpressions and I must say xpressions is also mighty creative.
Again, thanks for the entry and hope you agree with me on this point.

Thanks for the entries Dynamik. They both look great. I am sure they can both be improved but right now I am just providing feedback. First one looks good but if the word American did not exist I would not have thought of it as representing something American. I want something that even someone who couldn't read would think it's something to do with America. I also don't think that black was the best choice.
Second one looks also great and again, I don't think black was the best choice. When I decide on the final logos, I will then request some changes and it's up to you if you want to do them. I would say in both cases I want something more modern looking. I am sure you can achieve a more modern and more American look but don't want to waste your time. Of all designs, yours is in my top 3 along with DaveyBoy and phacker.

WOW. Nice one good job.

 

Warpser: thanks for the entry. It is creative and pleasant. The only thing is I don't think it's that much better than the other ones. Don't get me wrong: it looks good but it's missing the winning edge. I am also not sure that choosing that charcoal colour was the best decision. For this logo to win it would need to be more modern looking as right now it looks a little cartoony. I am sure it can look modern. Let me think about it a little more and tomorrow I will decide on the top 3 and then inform you guys of the changes I want. It is then up to you to decide whether or not you want to do those changes.

 

I am now adding a second place prize of $20. Second place winner will need to send the psd file.

@NightVision: you got me all excited saying you will post something and I am still waiting. I've seen your other work and I like your style. Now, if you changed your mind that is cool Just put together a mock up design so at least I'll know I got an entry from you

 

I am going to have to retract my entries from this competition. I am sorry but for 40.00 I am only willing to do so much. Thanks for getting my creative juices going after a dry spell, but what I presented was all the effort I wish to put into a 40.00 gig.

Hey guys, I am announcing the final three (unless someone joins at the last minute). They are DaveyBoy, Warpser and DynamicMK.

If you guys are still in it here's what I need so I can choose the winners (remember there is now also $20 for second place):

DaveyBoy: no changes (it would be too small of a change and I am sure you will do it if you win)

Warpser: change the charcoal colour to some American Blue. Try and either complete the circle at the top or make it a little less of a circle or more like an unfinished oval. The way it looks now it looks a little like two devilish horns. The way you wrote American grade A Milk looks good but try in reverse: make the word American slightly smaller and the GRADE A MILK BIGGER. The last thing: try to make it a little more modern and a little less cartoony (perhaps by adding a little bevel or emboss).

DynamicMK, if you're still in it here's what I need: change the stars and everything that's charcoal to a more blue (dark blue similar to the blue on american flags). And also give it a little more modern look (perhaps some bevel or emboss). And that's all.

Thanks for giving this a try. It's not too late to enter. You're a very talented individual but this entry is not one of your better ones. I think it looks good don't get me wrong but the other three I am considering look a little more American and also more creative.

Niaz: the contest will end in about 24hrs. If you want to enter it by then you're more than welcome. However, I can't extend it just for you.
