$40 Logo Contest - Prams website

    Hi,

I need a logo designed for a new website I'm working on.

    The website name is JTPrams.com

The site will sell a large range of prams from all major pram manufacturers (the intended users are parents and grandparents).

I'm looking for a logo that can go against the blue background on www.jtprams.com (website is still under development). The height of the blue area can be lowered to suit the logo, which will go in the top left. The blue background can also be seen at http://www.jtprams.com/background.png

Ideally I'm looking for something clean, unique and professional looking. If it helps any, most of the site will eventually be using soft pastel colors.

Logos I like include those on www.babyshop.co.uk, www.thebabyshow.co.uk and www.babythings4u.co.uk - but I'm open to anything. I'd be keen to see logos with something other than just text in it (though I've not rulled that out) - e.g. a pram symbol somewhere (or even turning the whole word into one big pram?)

I need the original PSD file (with layers intact and any non-typical fonts if that's possible) and a png.

The winner of this contest (chosen by myself) will receive $40 via PayPal. The contest will end on Thursday 11th February.

This is the first time I've posted a competition here - so if you need any more information or have questions just let me know,

    Thanks

    Paul

    Hi Avi,

Sorry about that - I was messing around with the CSS stylesheets and was highlighting different areas to see what went where!

    - I've turned the bits I'm working on to white just now (I'm still working on its CSS).

    Thanks,

    Paul

    hello,

    my try in attachment

colors, fonts, etc... can be changed, feedback is appreciated, if you don't like the concept i can work out something new :)

E: I'll have to change the font cause it does some funky stuff with the image quality...

zeesmarty1 - thanks for the design, but I think its a little too difficult to make out the J / T / P letters from each other.

Bucko - I really like this design - the colours go very well with the site, its clear and professional, and the pram conveys what the site is about very nicely. However I think that the "P" would be better in white.

Matkas - The first logo is slightly too funky / fun / young for me personally - I think the logo needs to look a bit more commercial / serious if that makes sense? I'm after something that appeals to both those looking to spend as little as possible on a pram, but also those who will buy ones at the top end of the market (appealing also to grandparents who want to buy the pram).

Matkas - the second logo would require a change to the top blue bit of my page - so I'll need to have a little think about that before coming back to you on it, thanks. P.S. the logos should read "JTPrams" (with an 's' at the end).

pi0tr3k - its a very nice logo, but reminds me a lot of forum/blog ones rather than a commercial site (perhaps needs to be a little bit more serious looking or contain some pram icon).

thank you for the quick feedback, you were right about P looking better in white, I just thought maybe you wanted JTP to stand out :)

here are the revised versions, I'm currently looking for new fonts available for commercial use - or do you want me to stick with one of these two?

Bucko - those three are fine thanks - I like the way that the font and pram seem to have been hand-drawn in the same style.

wbailey - the design looks fresh and modern (and fits into the space/colour scheme thanks) - but it also reminds me of metal or steel (shinny part in the middle) which isn't quite the look I'm aiming for here, sorry. I'm thinking more about colors (pastels perhaps) and things like soft edges that you'd might associate with babies (if that makes any sense).

Slimrider94 - I really like the design of the logo - looks clean and professional. the "r" and "a" seems to work very well for some reason (designed to resemble a childs first attempt at letters perhaps?), and the pram looks good too.

I'm not sure whether it would benefit from some color - I'll have a think about that and will get back to you if that's okay.

I will next check back in early tomorrow, and provide feedback on Kimmeh and Matts designs.
