Contest $40 Logo Contest Paypal (with examples)

Hi all,

I am looking for a new logo for a student group. The text included in the logo should be: "Law & Finance Program". Perhaps the following text element could also be included in the logo: "Est. 2024". The logo should have the look and feel of university logos such as these:

I was thinking of having the logo look like a shield divided in three parts where the above three elements are included in the separate parts. Sort of like this logo:
