Logo size: Up to 360pixels wide and 80pixels high. If bigger or smaller
its not a big deal.

$10 extra is the winner will be asked to put
the logo into a simple header. The only addition to the logo on the header
would be phone number and email in matching colors. Pretty simple add on.

Tag Line: Local Business Marketing Results

Ideas to keep in mind:
* Text needs to look modern, stylish and something you would like to own.
* It would be very cool if the logo had bullet holes in it, giving the impression
that it's been shot (ie mafia as in my domain name)
* Simple is best.
* Clean, Professional, sharp, crisp.
* If using an image, keep it simple and modern.
* Must be original

The winner will need to supply both PSD and high res option for print
purposes (EPS for business cards etc)
If you use a specific font then please include that on completion/payment.

Winner will probably be asked at a later stage to create business card,
stationary designs too, so there is potential to earn even more down the track.

ChrisB: Thanks for you entry. The font you have used is ok but not fantastic. It also doesn't have the tag line. Very much appreciate you kicking off the contest though. I would also like to see some web 2.0 webfonts with reflective text etc. It would be nice to see how that looked.

 

Dante: I have to say that is pretty brilliant. I really like they way you have included the mafia style hat. Well done. I would like to see some Bullet holes in the text if possible to add to the effect. Would it be possible to have the words 'Local Search in one color and Mafia in Red? Perhaps consider running the .com up the right of the word mafia nd then the tag line can fit nicely under the web address.

 

xCuCu: Your design does not include the tagline and teh font you have used is pretty basic.

Dante777: Nice touch. What I meant with the .com was to see it running upwards if you know what I mean. So have it run from the lower part of the a up to the high part of thea. The .com part isn't overly important. also I'm concerned the tagline is fading too much and won't be overly visible.
I also have another idea for you, but not sure if its possible. Are you able to include a face under the hat but the shape of the face is actually a GOogle front page search result. Does that make sense?

For everyone: I would love some modern fonts use so feel free to experiment with different fonts if you get a chance.

Dante777: Nice addition. I like the bolder tag line underneath. Please see my comments above. I do like the hat resting on the mafia which actually makes a lot of sense.

For Everyone: Design to consider. Perhaps consider running a bullet through the text from low left to upper right like a swish and all you see is the bullet above the I in mafia? So the bullet is cutting through the text but rising up (I know bullet's don't normally do that but I thought it would look cool.

xCuCu: the font is still not doing it for me. I quickly saw the bullet going through but I was thinking more along the lines of a static image. Keep in mind this will be used for Business cards etc, not just a website.

Genial: I usually give my contests 24-48 hours. Although many finish within 24 hours as I am happy with the quality of design work at that stage.

 

xCuCu: I like the idea of the bullet being above the I but the font you have chosen still isn't modern enough for me. Perhaps play around with the font and see how you go.

Genial: Great first entry. I like the color scheme and the mafia style hat, although they aren't normally anything but black or white but I can see how you are fitting it in with the rest of the logo. The face underneath isn't working for me as it looks like a magnifying glass. The site will be centered around search engine optimisation. The font in mafia is great but local search is not doing it for me. BTW, every design that comes through makes me happy as you are all great designers. Also keep in mind bullet holes in the word mafia as that would greatly add to the effect in my opinion.
