I would like a neat slogan and title put together for:

Oil & Energy Insider
Investment Opportunities & Strategic Energy Intelligence

(A good example of the sort of thing I’m looking for is at: http://www.energyandcapital.com/subscribe/33262?r=1 – please see the top of the page with the layout of: Energy & Capital and the slogan underneath.)

This is a weekly publication and it needs to appeal to investors and senior executives – so it needs to look very professional and appeal to serious financial types. (it should be much better than the above example)
It will focus on energy investments, oil trading and energy news that you can’t find in other publications online.

As to the emblem – could you try a variation of the http://oilprice.com oil drop emblem – but people must still recognize the fact that it is an oilprice.com publication.

Hi guys – thank you for all of your entries so far.
One common theme I have noticed is that they are a little too friendly.
This is a serious publication being marketed to serious people - so it needs to be subtle and serious.

I have given more feedback below:

Humorous.tv – Thanks for the entry – I quite like it – it’s simple, yet reserved and professional looking. It is a little one dimensional though and if you take a look at the above link – maybe try something like Energy & Capital have done.

Jnjnnino – Thanks for the design – it’s nice – but way too friendly. The emblem is just too colourful and the coulouring of oil & Energy isn’t what I’m after. But I do like the layout – so please do have another try.

Agent-x – thanks for the design – it’s creative – but just not right for our audience. The smiley face will put people off rather than attract them.

Henzlau – thanks for the design – very creative – but confusing and very busy. This needs to be a subtle design – that appeals to executives.

Kainraziall – Thanks for the entry – at first I thought no – but this design is nice. Not quite right in its current incarnation – but it’s definitely on the right track.

Angelart – Thanks for the entry – its’ nice and subtle – but just a little too simplistic.

Natali77 – Thanks for the design. This is nice and subtle – a reserved and professional design. I think the emblem is a little big though and I’m not sure on the colours, but it’s a really good first attempt.

Ideosmill – Thanks for the entry – This is definitely on the right track – I quite like the colours – but the emblem really isn’t working for me.

Jhaye – Thanks for the entry – sadly the emblem and colouring just don’t work for me.

SGDESIGNS – thanks for the entry – sadly it’s not what I’m after as it’s too bright and there is too much focus on the emblem.

Kainraizall 2 – Thanks for the second entry – another nice design. This is nice – the only thing is the spacing of the words – the Oil & Energy Insider are all a bit close.

Watari – I really like the lettering here – it’s the sort of thing we are after. I’m just not keen on the emblems – they are too big and take up too much attention.

Ianski – Thanks for the entries – Sadly they are just too busy and not what we are looking for.

Gesundheit – Thanks for the entry – sadly the emblem is just too big and overpowering – still you actually have the idea right with the emblem – as we aer looking for something similar to the Oilprice.com emblem.

Blogspreneur.com – Thank you for the entry – sadly it just isn’t what we are looking for.
