    So because the prize is $40, it's okay for you to steal other logos and not create create them from scratch? These contests are looking for something original. If they wanted a used logo, they would've gotten it themselves instead of paying $40 for someone else to steal it for them.

    If a shape you use is free in the first place why not include it in the logo? Obviously you couldnt just use the shape as the logo but I see nothing wrong with including it. After all, do you create all fonts used from scratch? No you don't. So how is this really any different?

    The contest holders are not looking for a custom made font. They're looking for a custom made logo.

    Sorry to carry this on but as I said, to create a custom made logo it might be necessary to add some text, for that you use a good font, in most cases one you didn't create. It may also be necessary to add a shape, perhaps an arrow or a music note, like the one's in The-Haunted's collection. I don't see why he shouldn't be able to?

    So before you start trying to be smart with me, think before you speak ;)
