Contest $40 Contest - Unique & Memorable Logo + Favicon + Website Header

I’m looking for a professional & brandable design for logo, favicon, and website header for a new business.

Business Name: Yellow Propertiesâ„¢

Tagline: your chance to make a winning move

Type of business: Real estate - website is not up yet.

All designs must be hi resolution 300 dpi - scalable vector or .psd, form and to include fonts + all original source files. Please also supply .jpg, .png.

Logo: transparent background, to include tagline. Size: make it scalable. The original standalone version could be 200pix x 100pix. This is a separate logo for general use, and will also be integrated into the website header.
Logo must be unique & memorable web 2.0 styles professional. Logo will be used on websites, business cards and other advertising media. As the business name and nature of the business is related with “property”, the logo should show the same. The logo should also include the ™ symbol.

Colors: bright yellow, black, gray, blue, red are some of the obvious for a professional clean look but I would consider other ideas and or variations.

Please note that the tagline may change – feel free to suggest alternate taglines, and also design it so that it is easy to change as needed.

Website Header: initial size is 970 pixels wide x 100 pixels (please make it scalable)

Favicon.ico will depend on the logo style.

Payment and terms: $40 to one winner - via PayPal immediately after I receive all source files related materials. All work produced must be 100% original.

Here's my first attempt

 

My general comments for all:

1. I don't like the houses. It's taking valuable horizontal space, affecting the overall length of the logo. It is an important element but please keep it subtle. A create way to handle the situation would be to use the space above the words. Keep in mind that I'm looking for a memorable and brandable design. Grays and shades of yellow or simple black lines would be acceptable Hint… see background properties here http://www.fotosearch.com/CSP225/k2259964

2. The "Yellow" on some designs may not be easy to read. A fine outline (black or the “Properties” color) and a more vivid yellow #FFE209 should fix the problem.

3. I prefer the tagline in black.

4. Prefer "Properties" to be medium blue #3399CC. This can also be used for the outline mentioned above.

Im not into making headers, so i want to participate on just the logo and favicon.

Here is my entry, feedback appreciated.

 

Looking better but not what I’m looking for. Most houses or properties appear to have an isolated or floating feel. Instead of a having it as a seperate components why not integrate the idea right within the letters “Yellow Properties” in an creative way. I know it can be done, and I’d like give you guys a chance to try.
