[B@biruhato:[/B] My favorite of your new versions is row 1, column 2 (of the 2 x 2 box). It's the black and yellow "H" symbol with the blue "Herbers". Very nice. Also row 1, column 1 is very good as well. @TightWad: Very nice concept. I'm not sold on the font chosen. I think with a new font, some better color options, and less shine on the orb, this one will be much stronger.
@renderwork: Your logo has very good impact. It reminds me of an aviation theme. I think you should reduce the thinkness of the navy blue outline and increase the size and impact of the "Herbers Online Services" text to improve it.

@bucko: Probably the one with the outline. However, I think this decision may be influenced by changes in color also. @MantisArt: I like the strength of the colors. I'm not sure about the font use. Too stylized. The 3D symbol looks good and would probably be improved without the "frog toe" font choice. Hopefully Mr. Herbers will give us some feedback on whether he likes a 3D symbol style as you have provided. @bucko: I feel like you are close. I am probably biased by the strength of the black usage in some of the other designs, but I keep feeling like that color in the lower text might provide greater impact here. @HerDish: I think this is an excellent option. I can see that working great on a website/letterhead/biz card, etc. I cannot decide if the gradient effect you are using inside the HOS is conflicting with the gradients in the H symbol or not yet though.
Hey guys, Just to let you know, I am the Mr. Herbers Joe is talking about. He did me a favor by starting this contest in my name. First of all I want to thank you for all the entries you submitted so far. I didn't expect that much interest for this. All work done so far is great so choosing a single winner will be difficult. I'll try to give some feedback to you guys. @ biruhato I like your first entry way better than the second one. Reason for this is that I don't like the arrow on the second image. Without it, it would be a bit to dark I think. Take Joe's suggestions and maybe redesign it to have some more friendly colours in there. Your post 16 is way more what I am looking for. Do you think a globe behind it and not using black that much might work? Would like to see a bigger H and a little font size decrease for the complete name here too @ Brucko Thanks for all the work you have done especially on the revisions. I like your concept. Maybe you should try to design it with some other colours, like Joe already said. @ TightWad Your suggestion looks good to me. I like the "swinging H" in front of the globe. For the rest I am with Joe. Would like to see a revision here. @ YoGem Looking forward to see what you have in mind for this contest. @ XPYOUSEF Interesting idea with the 3D effect. However it's not the clean thing I am looking for. @HerDish I like your entries posted in # 10 and 27. It can work for me @krisdude Thanks for your entry but I think the star in the logo is not a good choice to be honest. Other than that you might want to choose a different and more friendly looking colour. Perhaps you can post a revision with another idea? @renderwork Very interesting idea here too. I like your 2nd entry. I think I'd like to see it in another colour sheme?! @ watari This idea is nice too, but I think it's the wrong font and colour. @watari: I like the coloring on row 1, col 3 and row 2, col 1. A horizontal alignment might be interesting to see. I have a feeling this fits better with letterhead, and less so with the web, but I am not sure yet. I'll review it again tomorrow with fresh eyes. @Chewysmom: I like these variations. The dark blue/gray color combo (2nd in list) is best. The only possible issue may be that the logo seems to be dominated a bit too much by the text and less by the symbol HOS part. @TightWad: I like this. It's a great improvement. I'm just a little worried that it now looks a little too similar to the Firefox logo and will remind customers of that one.
Some great revisions guys. @TightWad: You really nailed the recoloration on this one! The Firefox idea is gone, and it looks great. Excellent work. This is now one of my favorites. @watari: Excellent as well. I like the horizontal layout. Excellent impact in the text. I think either color scheme could work. I like the sizing on the orange version.
