For celebrity fan site, 40 clicks = 6$ is quite acceptable. Since you can not change your site to another niche, I think now you gonna do is to drive more traffic to your site. More traffic = money.

 

In my graphics portal site I can make $ 6 from 170 - 201 clicks

 

Celebrity fan sites dont attract the veiwers these days
They are more attracted towards arcade games niche
because people like to sit at home and play online games
Today I saw a person whose clicks had reached 7$.
He had an arcade games niche
