$40 Character Design! Potential Future Work! Unique Opportunity!

Hello, please read the following information very carefully:

Overview:

I require an individual to create various cartoon/mascots/caricatures/characters.
The ideal person must possess:

• A flair for creativity
• Ability to create high quality, unique vector illustrations
• Follow given instructions

The person who is selected as the winner of this contest will be elgible (and recommended) to create additional characters, as well as modifying and adding accessories to former characters.

Contest

This contest is in regards to creating a 100% vector cartoon/mascot/caricature/character or whatever you wish to call them. I have basic instructions as to what the character must look like, and you can find these details below.

Design

You will be creating a male midget (I hear they like to be called "little people" now.) The size of this midget cannot exceed the width of 180 pixels and the height of 200 pixels. The image is of a midget, so obviously you have to make him look small, not tall.

The skin colour will be normal (no racism intended) pale yellowish with a bit of a brown. The hair colour will be black, with spiky hair (don't go overboard with the spikes.) He will be wearing preferably a black t-shirt with blue jeans and black shoes. The t-shirt must make the midget look like he has a fat stomach. His pose will be like a "Superman" pose. Please click here for an example. Instead of looking to the right like this image, he should be looking to the left. He will also have a cheeky grin on his face. Make sure that you can easily add/edit accessories of this image, for future projects.

Opportunities

The winner of this contest, as selected by myself and my co-owners, will get the chance to work with us casually by designing the website's cartoon images. The winner will be asked to create an additional minmum of 5 other midgets. It will be easy as you will only have to add/remove certain accessories of the midget you create in this contest, so you will basically be using this midget as the template for more to come.

The image must be delivered with full, editable files and within the timeframe. By accepting the payment, you give full image rights to myself, and understand that I am the new copyright owner of the image.

Payment

The contest winner will be paid $40AUD via PayPal.

This competition closes in 5 days. The closing date is Friday, 17th October, Sydney, Australia time which is GMT+10.

l3fty: I like where you're heading with this, although it does not have the 'midget appeal.' Try shrinking his legs or arms.

scorpionagency: This is quite good, but along with l3fty, it does not look like a midget, rather a normal size person.

Hmm, your illustration doesn't come across as a midget. I think it may be the arm, leg, head and body ratio. Try making the entire body in contrast with the arms.

Also guys, please remember to keep your entries below 180 pixels width and the height of 200 pixels.

I don't want to come across as rude, arrogant or unsure of what I want, so I'm just going to say, in terms of size, arm length, leg length etc. please refer to the image of the South Park characters here.

plugzzzz: I love your style, but once again, it does not look like a midget.

plugzzzz: I like this design, the colours go well and I love your interpretation of a cheeky smile. It would look better however, if you could shrink his arms and legs.

designfxpro: Amazing detail, I can tell you have a lot of talent. A few suggestions are to remove his 'muscles' in his face/neck along with his arms. Also, it would look better [like plugzzzz] if you could shrink his arms and legs.

I'm looking forward to the updates as well as new entries. Oh, and try not make the midget look evil, it be better suited if he was happy
