$40 Blog Logo Contest with matching faveicon

I have a new site and I need a stunning new logo and graphic for it. The current background image spans the top of the page.

And I want to replace that with a new background of the same size with a logo and funky swirls that match the colour scheme of the site. I also need a faveicon to match.

Main Graphic Requirements:

PowerDosh is the site name, so a new colourful logo featuring power, lightning, electricity, strength, money, cash, money symbols, etc would be a good basis. A funky abstract logo would also be appreciated.

The new graphic should replace the background image. You may need to visit the site to see where this all fits in. The background colour should match the existing site background colour.

The logo and site text should be to the left (where they currently are). The text should be PowerDosh.com.


Faveicon Requirements:

This icon should be simple and match that of the main graphic. It should have a transparent or white background. Normal standards for icons are required.


Contest running time: 5 days.
Payment for winner: $40 via Paypal

The one with the dark background is pretty good. The logo is too complicated though, as I want something simple. I also wanted a different choice of background than the one that already exists.

Wow, a very impressive concept with the lightning and money.

The font used for the text doesn't have a great deal of impact, since its quite a 'thin' font. Could you try some alternative fonts?

Great choice of favicon! The fonts for the PowerDosh.com text are still a little puny. I want to convey strength and power in the logo, hence wanting a bold font. Got anything else up your sleeve?

It's an interesting idea... but the dragon has suggestions of the Welsh if you're from the UK... which is not what I want to convey (and I'm English!)

I prefer it without the lightning. The logo is simple, but not striking. Got anything else up your sleeve? Otherwise a great concept.

Nice try with the $, though I prefer it without. The .com is an interesting twist. I like that. And your choice of font for PowerDosh is the best I've seen so far.
