I'd appreciate not just an appraisal, but some opinions on what I should do with this site. searchdepo dot com It's 4 years old, a directory site I bought a few years ago. Sitting stagnant, not generating any income. It gets roughly 40,000 visits per month though I haven't looked to see how much of that is bot traffic. It does great on long tail stuff. Google shows the first 1000 pages as indexed, no supplemental. The pages are static html (yeah, all those 10's of thousands of pages). So difficult to stuff into a new directory program. My choices: a) sell the site here. What's it worth? My suspicions are, not much. Maybe $500 on a good day? Scratch that, realistically I'd probably be doing good to get $100-$150? b) I've got a paid copy of one of the directory programs; I could attempt to rebuild the structure of the current site inside that software. Seems like a lot of work but would preserve the current indexing. Then I could sell directory listings from the site. Alternatively I could start fresh with a newly populated list of sites. Worth the effort? What would I charge for a listing? How much would I make assuming I didn't want to get too crazy with promoting it? I appreciate any suggestions.
