4 year old site - limit to amount of backlinks per week/month?

    Hi

    For a 3 year old site, which has 450 recorded pages linking to it's homepage, is there a recommended limit to the amount of backlinks that should be obtained each month?

    Does this amount differ if the backlinks are deep linked to various pages within the site?

    I would limit the number of incoming links to keep it looking natural. You always want to have links pointing at your internal pages as well.

    Think about this, in a breaking news story, there could be thousands of new links pointing at a page. Just use common sense; there is no quick fix or easy ride in SEO anymore.

    3 year old website could warrant an aggressive link building campaign, just never exceed 100 links a day and keep in mind, approval of your links can take anywhere between 24hrs and a year.
