Selling 4 year Herbal Remedies affiliate website - steady monthly income

I am cleaning up my domains and sites and would like to sell this herbal remedies affiliate website to someone who would like a great opportunity to build on a 4 year old site.

I designed and built this site in April 2008 with the view to promote various herbal remedies through affiliate programs. I never really got around to putting enough time into this site and thus it is only affiliated with 1 site, which is nativeremedies.com

The program pays 25% commission on all orders, and it also pays on repeat orders. So every customer you refer is your referral for life!

I haven't touched this site for years, probably 2-3 years now. Traffic was at highs of 2500+ visitors a month back in late 2010 but started to drop to where it is steady again now at around 600 per month.

However, the commissions I have been receiving each month have been fairly steady throughout. What this tells me is that there are probably quite a few repeat customers coming back so the products are effective and high quality. If you visit the nativeremedies.com website you will see that they put a lot of time and effort into conversions and delivering a high quality site. When you buy the site, the affiliate account attached to it will come with it. You just need to update the details, change the password and send them an e-mail to update the payment details (they pay via PayPal monthly)

I've provided 3 attachments, which I uploaded to the site because for some reason the size limit on DP was too small so I couldn't upload it to DP:

To summarise I believe that this is a great opportunity to pick up a site that has good age (4 years), great selection of keywords and most importantly has a proven track record of steady income. With time invested in SEO you can definitely unlock the potential in this site.

The domain is registered with NameCheap, I can push to an account there or just do the normal transfer process to an outside registrar.

The site is hosted on my server, and runs on CMS Made Simple. I can set it up for you on your own server if needed.

At $1200 this site is a bargain - don't forget you are looking at a site with age, unique content and a proven track record of good keywords and consistent commissions.

I hired a good writer to create the content. They are 100% unique, a lot of them have been up there for the 4 years so they are definitely original.

There are about 70 articles, I am about to upload a PDF of the CMS section that lists them all.

If the content is unique why do you attribute many pages back to Wikipedia, with your articles being very similar in style and actual content?.

I am very interested in this site, but duplicate content will not help to drive traffic.

Yes, the homepage is PR1, and the page that lists the various illnesses is also a PR1.

As you can see, just under 2% conversion rate.

p.s. Total Commission Due is my total so far for this month. Since they pay monthly and the earnings are calculated monthly, if you buy the site then you can have this $31.70.

The links back to wikipedia I placed so that the site is helpful to users. I don't expect every single person to come and click through to buy a product. The links point to sources that give more information on the actual condition, and not information on herbal remedies. So in my view they are complementary.

You can easily remove them if you wish, but in my opinion they help more than hinder (having said that, I never "tested" this theory by removing them for a period of time).

I just want to be clear that this isn't duplicate content. A writer wrote every single piece for me. If it was duplicate content, then you would hope that Google are looking to hire smarter search engineers because it's been 4 years and it still gets traffic

The links on the top nav bar " pets" , " babies" are not live?, no supporting content for them ?., also what is the Adsense income per month?.

 

Also, keep in mind I haven't touched this site for 2-3 years. That means, I haven't done any link building, haven't added any articles. It's just been sitting there and I am going through a phase where I want to cut down on the number of dormant sites I have and give someone else the opportunity to build it into something big.

You're looking at a site with a lot of proven history and a lot of future scope - none of these other websites for sale that use auto-blogging, MFA themes, etc. last 4 years. I doubt they even last 6 months - otherwise they wouldn't be going for so cheap when the earnings are huge after being online for just a month.

I identified them as groups that could have their own section (because they do too) so I planned to build them into the site too. This is what I mean when I say the site has a lot of potential. I've started it off with the main section, and with the right time and effort it can be expanded as above.

AdSense - I never made it the main focus because I would get more from commissions from product sales. That's why I only put them at the bottom of the page. Averages about $10 a month, but back when the site was getting the most traffic, I was earning just over $20 a month. I don't believe it should be the main source of revenue for the site, as you can see in the PDF link I provided a few posts ago, I made close to $6000 in commissions.
