possibly the licenses are not 3 months old so they cannot be transferred

 

The guy isn't looking to transfer the licenses anyway. See his starting post, you get access details to the vbulletin account rather than a transfer.
Yet, this is a pure waste of money.

 

Which means the original owner of the account can come back and recover them at any time since you have to provide specific information if you ever tried to transfer them down the road. This reeks of a scam to me.

sorry for my late reply, I missed this posting.

The licences have to be at least for 90 days in his account, before they can be sold. This is a fraud protection of vb against people who buy licnces with credit card, resell them and then get their money back over their credit card. In this scenario, the buyer of teh us3d liecnece payed for nothing, because vb will block the licence nmmer immedietaly after tehn charge back of the credit card

Selling his account access is illegal by the terms of rules of vb. And on top of this, you are not protected if you only have his account details. He can claim always later a new password back and vb will only listen to the people who originally bought the licence from them

I told these facts to the seller. But as I can see today, he tries again to sell these licences the same way, even knowing now for sure, that it is illegal what he is doeing. See:

So I would recomment to be very cautious here. Or why do you beleive he tries the same again in a new thread?

So I am not interested anymore to make busines with such a person. Looks obvioulsy to much like fraud. The price we agreed on was 270$ for all 4 licences by the way, which is almost to high IMHO. 50-60$/each would have been more appropriate for a 9 months valid licence with the new vb upgrade policy.

He will try to push you to first pay before he gives licence details etc.. Do not do this. Follow the recommended procedure of vb. Otherwise you will end up with nothing expect lost money

I think any serious buyer should know by now that buying access to the account (customer # and password) rather than having the licenses transferred the proper way is the worst mistake you can make in dealing with vBulletin licenses.

They can't be transferred until they are 3 months old. Until then, don't buy them if you don't want to be scammed.
