There are four keys to good SEO. (1) First, you must research the amount of traffic various keywords are receiving. (2) Second, you must modify your site to include the exact keywords phrases in the meta tagging and text. (3) Third, you must add and add and add content to your site. The more content, the more the big three will like your site. (4) Finally, you must trade links with other sites that have content related to your site. __________________
Good post but sorry mate not agree with your pint -4. Trade link may harm if google know about it as I know
I like to disagree with the fourth point. Trading links (link exchange) with other sites is seriously viewed by the google. But one way link or three way link exchange from related niche is always welcome
I only understand the third poin, and I think this point is the most importante to be good in SEO, you can ignore 1 of the three another point but not the number 3 poin.
Is it only me who thinks that Fresh content is not the king as they consider it? I am sorry but I have seen MANY sites rank extremely high for different keywords and yet they do not really add fresh content regularly. Suppose that I own a Web Development website which has my portfolio, contact, services details etc. How would you expect me to add new content that is relevant to my work? Some would say news related to web design, articles etc but that simply doesn't work this way. Not every website that ranks high has content updated daily and yet they maintain their position. I think the more important thing is to keep getting links. Fresh links I guess are more important than fresh content. If you are ranking high, they maintain your position and if you are not then they push you higher up the SERPs.
*sigh* and where does copy and pasting other people's material rank in this http://www.marketingtitan.com/index This is the problem with c&ping - as others have pointed out, it's out of date. Reciprocal linking has been completely devalued.
