2. It's fast. I find Google much faster than other search engines in returning search results. Because it's faster I'm more likely to use it.
3. It's flexible. Google is highly customisable, you can change the background image. You can also search exclusively for images or text.
4. It's search results are of a higher standard. Compared with Yahoo and even bing, Google often comes up with highly tailored search results and less duplicate content.

 

I watched a program called "The Digital Revolution" on the BBC recently, it's part 3 you need to watch, it spends an entire hour on Google and why it is successful. Maybe worth a watch.
