#4 overall on MSN - Is this good??

Hi...need some input into my SEO

wanna make sure im doing things right...

looking at MSN i am #4 overall for my keyword (easy italian recipes (no quotes) OVT = 1181) for italianhomerecipes.com

is this good?...no good?

Keep watching. MSN results are sometimes erratic. It appears they favor a sudden burst of inlinks and content.

 

u saying this is just a "tease"??....how can u tell if this is the case with my site?

are you currently getting traffic from MSN for that keyword?

 

where would i see this?

If your cpanel supports that then yes but you can also use a free tool as well: http://www.statcounter.com/ or Google Analytics.

thanks Fabian...and i also just noticed that my site is a PR2.....in less than 2 months....wow...i guess all this work that i thought i was doing wasnt getting me anywhere...is paying off......

does the PR2 + MSN's first page listing help me out to rank better on google??

 

The PR 2 is a reflection of your back links and in turn does have some effect on your SERPs but only in Google. MSN results will not effect you on Google.

 

ok...so to increase my PR i basically need more backlinks?....how do i increase my position in google?...also is there a tool to see where i am ranked on google?...so i dont have to go thru all the pages to sse where my listing is?....

 

More quality backlinks and focus on the top 5-10 keywords you are trying to hit as anchor text, mix it up a bit.

i just sent 20 emails to relevant italian recipe sites PR5+ asking for link trade....using seo elite software.....any other suggestions?

ive submitted postings to craigslist...those got page 2 on google the next day...used my primary keyword as title of posting...and that appeared page 2 on google the next day.....any thoughts on this?

 

i was PR2 for my site 2 hours ago...now it shows PR0 in google toolbar???....what the heck happenned????...how does this work???...how did i go from a PR2 to PR0 in 2 hours??????

my site still hasnt gone back to PR2 that it finally got yesterday......still showing a PR0.....will it go back to PR2?....

 

any reason why PR changed from 2 to 0...and hasnt gone back to PR2??
