Our website opened in mid Feb. and myself and the other 2 admins have been busting gut since then to get stuff rolling........

    www.politicalgroundzero.com

Not 2 weeks ago you would of never knew we existing on msn we were buried so far back it was unreal.

Of 4,066,687 sites we are # 4 for (Political Forums) and # 13 for (Political Debate)

We have gone over many bigger sites....They have more members, more backlinks ect.....

I dont quite understand how this has happend by Im not complaining....We are also like 10 pages back if you search Political....(working on that one)

Now if I could get yahoo and google to follow I would be good.

Just wanted to THANK everyone one for everything that is posted here cause I have read here till my eyes felt like they were bleeding....

Without the content of this site I would still be in the millions where I started..

    Again THANKS ALL..

    Chico

New sites always seem to end up at the top. That has been my experience anyway. Wait about 6 months to a year.. If it is still there or higher, then be happy.

I'm of the opinion (at least this is how it was once explained to me), that the algo for most of the SE's is to let all the "shit" (figure of speech) float to the top, then skim it off and you end up with valid and quality placed sites in the SERPs.

The evidence of this (with Google at least) can usually be seen right before a BL update. All the crap floats to the top, ie., the scrapper sites, dup content, landing pages, contentless, etc., etc... Once there it is like they are skimmed off and everything settles back down.

    Anyway, just an observation..

did you do anything that may have caused it, such as linking to new sites?
    Just curious.

Well I linked at every directory I could and then targeted specific key words.

I have very limited backlinks as of this time cause that is still in the works.

I guess msn give high importance to inbound link... if you use your most important keyword to all your inbound link for sure you will get good ranking.

MSN is daily changing ranking it looks. My site comes in top 10. Then it goes down out of 30. Again everyday, it starts coming up 3-4 numbers. And i m not doing anything. Even i found, total no. of links also getting changed. Previously it was around 1000. Then before few days i found it at 175. Now, every 2-3 days its increasing no. and in just 10 days it reached to 500.

I think MSN is yet in Beta mode.

Interesting site...you guys use a pretty unique color scheme. I haven't seen it before, but it's actually pretty catchy. I bookmarked it and will visit from time to time.

Thanks bud....were young and Im still actually learning how to do this stuff...Code and all I mean. So being # 4 is unreal for me but maybe not to much a big deal for others.

We are in the process of making a link page and a shopping page...Problem is Im learning how to make these extra pages in VB....Easy to some Im sure, but to me its like reading arabic or something..

But Thanks again and hope to see ya around.

Also let me ask the community here if anyone knows how to get that BLUE outline from around my banner at the top of the website.....Ive searched everywhere and I cant find anything about it. I have it hosted at photobucket and when I link to it....it shows up with that blue border around it. If I post it in a thread as an image there is no blue border....WTF ???

Anyone ???? know of a way to resolve this ??

Ok I had it at 0 in the code above the image but not the image itself.

When placed in code for image it went away....

    Thanks

That's not good news for me. I'm currently enjoying #1 on MSN on one of my new sites, beating out sites that have been around for more than five years (mine is a couple of months old).
