4 Months, ~30views a day, Hardly any clicks

I've had my music blog up for about 4 months now and traffic really isn't moving no matter how much I promote it...

I have 2 adsense text boxes up but I'm really in need of help on how to increase clicks. I'd be happy with $5/day

I've had a lot of emails with compliments on my reviews but there's no growth!

Just keep on producing content and doing some marketing at music related forums or blogs.

 

You should optimize your site for Search Engines. If you can’t do it by yourself take the service from a SEO Company.

 

huh.. i was making over $1000/mo after 4months, but my results weren't typical..

the key to getting more clicks which translate into earnings, is TRAFFIC.. work on your SEO and promotion.. after you get some traffic rolling, work on optimizing your site for ads..

 

work hard to get that traffic that actually converts in to sales and clicks...that way you can earn more..

Test new ad formats and positions
It soon all adds up

You need to improve your search results ranking. SEs are the best source of getting lot of traffic. And traffic is what you need to make some good money with adsense.

 

Yes update your content regularly and dont forget social networking results wil come automatically.

 

30 views a day? I get 2500 a day and I go no clicks. Why are you complaining

 

Let's see:

First, your ads are in the wrong place. If you have a long article and put them at the beginning of the text, they'll be forgotten, once the reader is done reading. Next issue would be your blog theme. It is not visually appealing. Your articles show in full on the main page: Big mistake. Only put teasers there (otherwise you risk people leaving because they only see one article and don't find that one interesting). Ban the ads from your frontpage. They belong in the articles only(otherwise your blog looks like it serves the primary purpose of serving ads, which drives visitors away). Remove the clutter in the right column. The cleaner your navigation, the better.

Move your ads upwards, change the colors, red and green maybe, even though the rest of the site is blue and white.

Where does your traffic come from? how much of that traffic is truely visitors? excluding bots etc.

o ye i was makling like 1 cent a week before , i started using unique content and my earnings have gone through the roof

 

One of my sites gets 10,000 views a day (impressions, not hits) and I make around $15. Between low paying keywords and the fact my audience isn't the type to click on ads (they're too smart), I figure it's the best it will ever do.

Maybe something like this:
Reviews of the hottest artists in hip hop and the scoop on new hip-hop albums from around the world.

It shows up on every page make sure is reads good.
