I remember a few months ago there was a lot of hype around 4 / LLLL.coms and the regular LLLL.com was pitching for $40 without a hassle .... now it seems that it's hard to sell a LLLL.com for even reg fee .... Do they hold any value ? What should I look for ? Is there a price guide out there somewhere ? Does a LL-L.com - with hyphen devalue a domain ? I am sitting on a few : Let's say : do-g.com , ca-t.com, or similar domains are they worth anything ? Even if they have the hyphen and are pronounceable or even random pronounceable L-LL.com's are they worth anything. Thanks.
I think everything has lost value from a few months ago! And not just LLLL.com domains. When few has any money to buy anything the markets of many go south fast. Looking like some hard times in the land of plenty my friends. Boulder
- hyphenated domains typically are worth less than non. I do not see why so many people waste their time registering these. as for LLLL.com the market is odd right now & I think their value will go back up in time, but if it has no meaning it is going to be a harder sell & more difficult to find an end user. Random LLLL.com are a long term thing imho.
I've noticed this on SEDO recently...those LLLL's are going for $50 and not even getting a single bid. They used to turn over at $150 minimum a few years ago..
Yup same here in DP domains for sale .... they are going for less than reg fee and no one is interested .... I guess if there's no demand - then resellers just wont buy them .... because they can't resell them. And we're mostly resellers here.
Yes, it was a hype & now that the hype is over & also the economy has changed significantly, people are realising that putting your money into random LLLL.com names with bad letter combos like zywq.com is not a smart thing to do.
Yes, this was bound to happen. However it was much longer than a few months ago that they fetched $40+ each for the worst of them, more like 8 - 10 months ago. The market was sure to correct as people were paying crazy prices for garbage LLLL.com's with no meaning. For them to go from reg fee to $50 each within a couple of months was simply not sustainable. However now that the market has been corrected and you can once again pick them up for near reg fee I think they are a worthwhile long term investment if you are willing to be patient and fork out renewal fees. Probably still better off forking out the extra though for something a bit more meaningful or with end user potential.
