Basically, fan sites link to a download thread on Lisps.net. Visitors must register before viewing the thread and the link. After you've registered, you can click on the link to download the file, hosted with DreamHost.

I sold that site to precharge and have no idea how you got the database.

Here's a little history of creative-assets.net:

Neil owned the database of the site, and he sold this to a member on sitepoint with the username 'precharge'. I'm currently working this problem out with precharge. Somewhere between Neil's transaction and the second of September, someone got their hands on the database. Maybe precharge sold it again? I'm not sure. All I know is that when I bought the site, the email was still Neil's and the last post was somewhere in the middle of August.

Anyways, I was looking for large forums a while back, and a member off of NamePros added me on MSN offering me a database of over 70,000 posts. According to this person, there was some bidding going on for this database, sold I BINed it at $xxx. Anyways, before paying, she (or he. I'm 75% sure its a she) let me test the database out and restored it onto an IPB forum on my server. After seeing it's legit with the right amount of posts and everything, I paid.

Another thing is that when I made my 'new admin intro', a member told me that this forum have been up and down for a long time, and ownership was always changing. I'm guessing that Neil didn't own the forum from the start, or maybe precharge sold it? I have no clue.

I'll keep everyone updated. All other forums are legit. It's not like I'm forging the traffic and amount of activity. The stats are posted right there.

Yes, I know. The seller of the database said that she does not own creativeassets.net, so I reigstered creative-assets.net.

 

All these sites (other than WightForum.com and ZetaBoardads.com), I bought just recently. Lisps.net was bought just recently and the ads haven't been changed to mine yet.
