I'm not getting how 4L domains work. Why do people sell them for pretty high if they are just a bunch of random letters?
There are a few reasons, one is the limited amount of domains plus companies with four words often look for abbreviation of there names.
So are basically are 4 L domain names worth a good amount of cash, or is there something with vouls and repeating letters?
To understand about 4 letter names I suggest reading: http://4letternoob.wordpress.com/ Lots of info you need is on that site.
I think mostly because of the price for short generic domains are extremly high. If you don't have budget for a Short generic (one word or two words) domain, and you don't want to go for a domain combinated by 3 or 4 words, then your only choice is 4 letters or pronounceable 5 letters domains, which still avaiable at affoadable price.
its cause 3 character price(LLL.com) was around $200 till 2000,after they got fulled every day their value increase and these days no one sell less than 8k...so many peoples invest in domains that are getting end..peace
Sometimes they're great names, and can be associated with corporate words (like imdb for instance - internet movie data base). Most times I've found they're just used for spam.
A lot of 3L and 4L domains are just parked. Domain parking should be banned. This is nothing but to spam the net and to make people fool.
i think those big companies that own millions of domains should be banned just set a maximum one can have i think 100 domains should be a fair max
I blame the people who are silly enough to pay big bucks for a rubbish domain just because it only has four letters. There are so many better alternatives out there.
Is there anyway to find out if there are any 3/4/5 letter domains left available by a quick search? Cheers.
LOL.....that's just funny. Have you considered that the links that are provided on those parked pages might actually be relevant to what the person is looking for, just like a search engine?
parking page have nothing other than ads so how can they be helpful every time..leave it..4 letters r generic n can fit to anything n is short to remember so there is great demand.
