#4 in google after 20 minutes!

My post in DP is indes number 4 in google's first page after 20 minutes using a high competitive keyword "loans and mortgage forums"

yes good going. Google is always so fast at indexing I often see blog articles indexed in under 20 minutes but 4th is very good

 

That's fast, but with an overture of zero (no daily searches on google either), I wouldn't say it is competitive.

 

overture is not reliable anymore..believe me... one of my pages "list of social bookmarking sites" having an average of 57 vies per day from google using long and unpopular keywords from non-english countries and all of those keywords are zero in overture..

As long as people found your page using any keyword they want, it means your page is good..that's why keyword density is a must...

I don't believe in overture..

 

You can check wordtracker, KW Discovery, yahoo, google, msn with this tool. No daily searches for that keyword phrase. "Loans" is competitive.

I understand that but the keyword might be rearranged from time to time..as I said, I don't believe in any tracking tool based on my experience..

 

I don't think thats a high competitive keyword at all. 'Mortgage broker' is but not loans and mortgage forums. People search for low rate mortgages, mortgage brokers etc etc.

 

SEO book gives on fraction of freekeywords stats. Seobook is the most useless believe me.

4th position is still nice.

 

The target actually are the webmasters and bloggers who are looking for forums to advertise..

 

It's a longtail - so by definition, not all that competitive, but useful to you if that's your niche. But the fact that the titles of DP threads get indexed and get at the top of serps in minutes, gets mentioned often enough to not be a surprise to anyone, surely.

 

I'm surprised more people dont take advantage of DP with Grey Hat etc e.g. google will see any links in that loans and mortgage thread as highly relevant to 'loans and mortgage'... Not much PR juice BUT good SERP juice i'm guessing.

 

Its good that you have got ur thread indexed fast and ranking too. But i have seen pages indexed even faster than that. In 7 mIns i have seen. And aslo your KW is a long tail keyword and DP would already have a certain credibility for themselves, with that credibility and the Keyword in the title you are ranking.

 

i had the same experience whenever i post something at DP. google love DP.

 

this is position is amazing , but we wonder if it can keep it for so long due to the feroce competition .
anyway wait and see

 

If the keyword is non competitive than you should not worry about your rankings on this particular keyword.

But if keyword is competitive and daily you see changes in serp rankings than you need to be hardworking to remain your position.
