The price looks good but i do not like the hosting. You can find hosting sites that give you a domain name for $5 if you host with them. Just look around the forum thier are a few sites that do this.

I have used them. They are good!

You need not buy hosting from them to get the domain at discounted price. There are not any hidden fees too. They do not accept paypal though.

Ah, sounds like a great deal. Although I like keeping all of my domains together, which is currently with GoDaddy.

Godady already sells for 8.95$. 17.90$ for two years by Godady. 14.90$ for two years by Netfirms. You save 3$. Think abou buying bulk :)

not much can beat the 99 cent .com .net and such domain sale that had gone on awhile back at exa. I think i bought about...50 domains in one day and another 70 the next :D

But you should be able to move away to someone else by then, right?

Sure, you can move just before renewal if you find a better deal. I have a lot of domains registered through Netfirms, although I don't host with them. I have never had a problem. $4.95 is a decent deal and you can point the domain to another host, and host wherever you want.

Yep, wouldn't use them again. So much hassles trying to buy a domain from them.

I even forget to apply the coupons, in my hurry to snap up .coms whenever I get a good one.. One time I saw a .com, but by the time when I tried to buy it, it was already snapped up by some domainer some something..

Looks like somebody waits to see if anybody is searching for the availability of domain names.... :(

SO far I buy usually at dreamhosts since they give private whois also for 9.95 only.. I need to shell out 5.5 more at godaddy..

Do they give whois privacy.. namecheap and netfirms?

I don't think NetFirms has a "push" facility for domains registered with them (atleast when I used them in my early domaining days, they didn't have it). :)
