$4.86 domain trick for Godaddy :D

Discussion in 'Domains' started by ashiezai, Feb 7, 2006.

After compiling several source, I was able to reg/renew my domain names at godaddy for $4.86 per year per domain.

The catch is: You will need to own 7 domain names or more to benefit from this

This is how i do it:

Then login to your account, go to my account, under the section customer info and more, Click on payments and renewing items. Select Dedicated IP and renew it.

In your cart, update the renewal term to 7months and add in your 7 reg/renew domain into the cart

So it round up at $4.86 per domain per year for me :) Ofcourse you can repeat the renew IP trick to get even lower overall price for your domain.
    You can try this out.

P/s: In case you have done the final steps but didnt see a $5 off discount, then you will need to do the following:

Heh ... this is a long thread. But anyway, hope that I can save you some bucks :D :D

I think I should go for a webhosting as well from GoDaddy to get full advantage of that dedicated IP.

hah .. that was found out by many ppl and contributed in another forum by the users.

A couple of dollars? Probably not. Many of us own more than 5 domains, and $3x5 =$15 for a year. And we usually renew for more than a year :D

I own a little more than 200 domain names and I know many persons at dnForum who have few thousand domain names

I registered about 50 new domain names at GoDaddy after reading the helpfull threads here and saved about $150-$200

Since the above loopholes has been closed, here's a new one: :D

Buy a 2 months' quickblog ($2.95/month) instead of 2 month's dedicated IP and renew them. The steps are pretty much the same. So just read the above post :D (use slash promo code)

Will constantly update this thread if i found some new one.

p/s: working as of 27th Feb
