I'm not seeing any changes on my older sites though one of my new sites have gone straight in at PR6.
Old domains ARE updating in PR. Case in point... http://www.seochat.com/?go=1&option=com_seotools&tool=9&url=www.order-cool-products.com Domain registeration Date: March 13 2001. And yes, Google's known about the domain for years. Google has the domain listed on Planet Supplemental, and it went from 0 to 5.
My new site goes from PR 0 to PR 6. It's not in SERP for the main keyword though . So I guess it means nothing really ..
Oh wow.. over 100 posts on this thread?! Do I have to read the whole thing to figure out why I went from PR 0 to PR 5 today? Or is it just one of those mysteries for the ages? Because I can handle that. So is the consensus that it's a fluke that will correct itself?
something VERYS TRANGE about this PR update.... I have inner pages with PR5 and main pages with PR3... checked the backlinks and only backlinks that show up are those form the main pages.
I have a feeling that this isn't a fluke since it's affecting so many NEW pages that have never had PR before. But it is so odd....that older pages within the same site (that have had PR before) seem to get no boost. Honestly, I don't know what G is doing and I've had about ten too many beers tonight to care. Cheers!
You guys are right.........there is a PR update! May latest website which isn't even a month old yet just went to a PR 5! I can't believe it! Now I have three PR 5 sites! But I still don't get it. I have older sites I've been working on for months and their pagerank will not change. Then I build a brand new site and less than a month later it goes a PR 5? strange.
That's strange, I'm seeing the same thing. About 90% of the returning Backlinks in Google is from the homepage. This should be about 40%, I guess...
Maybe a poll will help. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=71998 This'll tell us if only PR 0 sites got an update.
So who's selling some PR5 links now? I'm willing to pay about $.50 for each... Kiddin', I now got one as well...
My New Site also went PR0 to PR5. That has links on my other 2 PR5 Sites with Hosted at Different IPs and Webhosts.
They were talking about PR not backlinks. Two different things. But yea I am late and it is late. 4AM. Going to bed this is too crazy.
How easily PR5 and PR6 is distributed by Google..... It seems PR is being devauled in the near future.
