Yep, got a couple of PR7s. (and some PR6s and PR5s) All on new pages, with no PR history. My established pages went up slightly.
I thought this was wierd... a new site I had just devloped http://www.upload7.com got a PR 3 and another I just made http://www.myspacezero.com got a PR 4 and I haven't promoted it at all, my biggest site didn't even change but I thought it would get a PR 5 and no luck. This is the wierdest update I've ever endured.
I've been reading all these posts (BTW, my site didn't change from PR4, even though it is an older site). But what I want to know is if anyone has noticed much of a change in the SERPs? I was hoping this update would be the one to get me out of the sandbox (tired of all the sand in my panties!!), but alas, to no avail! I have been tracking my allinanchor & allintitle ranks for the last few days, and I'm ranking anywhere from page 1 to page nowhere on the same keyword phrases. Seems like G is still pretty jumpy right now. Of course, I might just be hitting different DCs. So folks, how are your SERPs?
One more (last?) time: The problem with this theory is that some old pages/sites DID get a PR increase witrh this update, including some of mine. Nice theory, but if the premise is incorrect it ain't worth a pinch. Yes, it has been brought up before. No, it doesn't make any sense. Google is NOT giving everyone high PR. Haven't you read the posts where people complained about PR decreases? No. Not for me. Virtually no chnage at all. Which is exactly what one should expect with a Toolbar PR update. It's not new data - just an export of old data.
You don't know that. All you know is more people jumping into threads like this are reporting an increase. That's nothing new and nothing surprising. usually, threads like this jump from Page 1 to page 20 in a day or two with people excited about new PR or a PR increase - many of those who saw decreases are probably elsewhere licking their wounds or trying to figure out how to reverse it before the next update.
Now PR4 is sign of no hard work after this pr update because various pages with no page rank reported have now PR4 hint: my profile at dp
Guys guys guys!!!! Calm down! It's not over yet. Just think about this. If you have taken in the advice from Matt Cutts for how you should optimize and have applied it then you should have no problems. There's no point jumping up and down whilst the updating is still in progress. Really, the only thing that matters is if you are still getting a steady flow of traffic. If you are, then you have done your job right. If you are not, then you better get some advice from people who are getting steady traffic. I did this and I am getting a steady increase of traffic to all of my sites every couple of months. Piece of advice here: STOP WORRYING SO MUCH OVER PR!!! If you are worried so much about PR then you are publishing your site/s for the wrong reasons. Now that I've had my blurt I am going for some exercise.
Well! For starters, your site has no keywords and no description and looks like it has been generated by Wordpress (most likely why so!). You need to have a good look at keyword densities and weighting and also the same with phrasing structures. There's heaps of free tools on the net to help you with this, if you know how to code html, php, asp etc.. If you don't know how to code, my fees are the cheapest you will find anywhere (sorry guys for the plug!!). I see you have three very good quality links. 2 PR6's and a PR7. This is a very good start and no hidden text or hidden links is also good. Site looks very clean right throughout. I'd guess you paid a professional to build it and had no SEO in it as yet?? Hope this helps. Col
I know everyone is talking about Google's changes to PR just past.. but can anyone tell me how long have I got to get my s**t together for the next update?
My main site stayed at PR4, but I recently launched 4 subdomains and 3 of them went straight from PR0 > PR5 and another one to PR3. The only backlinks to these subdomains are sitewides from the main domain. Go figure!!!
