honestly in this industry you cant quote something someone said and expect it to always be true. PR imo has changed a lot in meaning in the last year alone.
Shoe is correct. The most significant change has been that it is now officially known as PimpRank - PageRank has been phased out.
Espcially now that you can pull pr from a static variable... I think that alone shows google no longer cares. Trustrank is something I hear more and more google employees refer to now.
You hug enough trees (or, actually, pretend to hug enough trees) and you're gonna end up drinking sooner or later to get the taste of bark out of your mouth. Pretend-to-be hippies still drink wine coolers, don't they?
Ha! Found it (courtesy of Oliver, aka SEbasic, aka Keeper of the Saw(eth): ...and of course they drink...
Just as everyone else: 3 month old site, PR5. Some PR3 new sites, too. Old sites relatively untouched. The thing about the 3-month old site is that it really belongs somewhere around PR4-5, but to change overnight scares me that it will be slapped by any bug fix. Oh well, we'll see. Rezand
This is good news for me as all my newer sites jumped to PR 5 while the oldest (and biggest one) stayed at PR 6 while finally updating new mod-rewritten deeper level URL's to reasonable ranks (like PR 4 for second level and 3 to 2 third level).
Oh my god I have such a high drunk rank at the monment! you can buY drunk rank from me for $50 a month (4 bottles of scotcH), limit is ten links per alcoholic.
Yea, I got my ranking up to around DR 9 or 10 last night. I think I was ranking very high for the keyword "vomit."
DP has got a #1 for "weird Pr" http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLJ,GGLJ:2006-14,GGLJ:en&q=weird+pr
I bear no responsibility for the above image, I found it on the internet, just like I found my wife, 12 kids, tricycle, Skoda, 3 cats, 4 dogs, bucket and mop, mp3 player and Thai maid. Seriously though, how many times does this happen? And doesn't it often happen at this time of year? I feel that a week or two will see the dust settle into a more 'sane' update.
