I think google will roll this update back. My main directory that I have put some effort into still remains at PR3 while inner-pages are at pr5. My other site, www.warpdir.com which I was planning on developing but forgot about it gets a PR3 with only 2 backlinks in MSN. It will be rolled back im sure of it.
PR update confuses me totally one of my site has 2 different PR i.e. www.domain.com has PR 2 and www.domain.com/index.php has PR 4 any suggestions on redirecting www.domain.com to www.domain.com/index.php Thank you
my sites too,here are my sites: http://www.angelsclub.com.au http://www.multi-vnetwork.com.au http://www.passiontransactions.com they all pr0 last week,but now.....at least 4. I am a little worry about that!
For myself the update is finish, both my blog and site shows PR5 on all google DCs... Im in Vietnam so i dont know about other countries
I think you might be talking about my post on Clasiones forum, I did see a +2 increase on a home page that I did nothing too.... The funny thing it never got any new links, I really think that there is a new filter being set, I saw on Matt Cutts blog where he stated "we at google read forums" Dont you think that the enginneers at G , see the threads - like buy space on my pr this and pr that, of course they do...they are google a billion dollar company for a reason...it wasnt luck I also have a new site that was made Marth 4th and recieved a homepage of 5 and all 4's in the inners Basicly google is a search engine, and what is a search engines job? Too bring back the most "RELEVANT" Searches Google is like a GIANT referee of the internet.... They see all these tricks , they are not idiots If you are buying Pr from sites that have no relevance, what do you expect... Years ago sure ....if you had 500 links coming from dog grooming sites linking to your hospital bed site, BAM...looked important.....NOW its worthless My Mentor John Clasione from searchen has taught me tons, Once thing that I always heard him say ...well actually 2 things Quailty content and anchor text from relevant sites I also think whay alot are seeing "linkpages" and about us pages being higher than the home page is becuase google figures lets just pass the links to the links.... Who knows I could be totally wrong and you might think I am nuts But I will tell you all , in the last update, I saw my new site , get high home pages and one step lower innner pages like a normal update, and an old site go up an old fashioned plus 2.... So with that in mind I must be doing something right or listing to clasione ral well
3 month old site, all the internal pages are now PR4, from 0, and I haven't even touched the site in over 2 months.. It has 1 quality link going to it, and a couple of links from some minor forums. My exoticcarsite.com site, still a PR4, after pumping in so much energy with directory listings, is still a PR4, but the majority of my 2400 internal pages now have a higher page rank. My new site, about 1-2 months old, with good content, 1 PR5 or 6 inbound link, is still a PR0. So not happy, again, I put so much effort and quite a bit of $$ into ECS for backlinks and stuff ..... makes me just wanna sell it
I've just tested my URL and found a PR3 after one month and a half. But the bad news is I have to do a redirection between this URL and my homepage so homepage PR0 . Super !
My unoptimised directory (bought the new software a few weeks ago for $25) went from zero to 5. I've done no link building for it. It's not original content. I just posted on the "link exchange" forum here and let people submit links for free. My main page just has a measly PR of 3.
I was supprised to see a pagerank change While most of my sites reamaind the same page rang, but lost a lot of backlinks. One site went from 2 to 3 One site went from 7 to 6
Very strange, though. It should not be that PR...and the ones that really should have changed didn't.
I wonder if the update is over or if Google will still move things around within the next couple of days.
I hope this means that Google is goint to update PR and backlinks more often. Once a month or once every 6 weeks would be great
Good one.. they have an extended April 1st at google I think they have had too much google gulp this week.
well mine is a new launched site...and I cant see any PR changes but is indexed well. www.techtickerblog.com
I had to post this for those that havent read Matt Cutts blog lately. There was a guy who reported on Matts blog that his site was given a PR 8. After saying all this, he then proceeded to explain in his post that this site only has 6 backlinks. Get ready boys and girls, roll em roll em roll em get the Googlers rolling, we most likely will see a roll back if Google is having these kinds of problems.
