    Yes, both alivedirectory and blazemp should have been PR8, but neither changed. At least PR7 for alivedirectory; definitely 8 for blazemp.

    What is happening I have two sites I didn't do any SEO on at all and I got a PR5 out of the blue?

    PR5 = PR4
    PR6 = PR5
    PR7 = PR6
    PR8 = PR7

    Is google going to update the homepages of sites not already PRd

    I did not see any significant drop in my websites, but gain is definitely unnatural.

    I had 10k weight pointed on one website, purchased a few PR5 and 6s for that website, but it still stands at PR2.

    I think google is playing with their algo, i might not be surprised if this update is rolled back.

    Personally, I think this will all go away very quickly. Obviously something isn't right at G and they will fix it.

    I think older sites might be updated last, maybe Google left them "as is" for now to do a comparision? Even if Google did do something to make obtaining a higher page rank easier I am thinking the quality backlinks will still help out in the SERPs and that is what brings visitors.

    Most of my sites saw nothing but had two go from PR0 to PR5. It definately looks like an Update.

    It is strange though. The site I worked the hardest on with directory submissions, good link exchanges etc. Stayed a PR4, and the two that went to PR5 are practically ignored by me. No promotion, nothing. In fact the only backlinks that I know about are a few from my other sites, all of which are lower than a PR5.

    My site which went live in November and didnt recieve any PR last update jumped up to PR4 today out of the blue. I wonder if this Update is picking up the missed pieces from the last update.

    If this sticks, it will really devalue the little green bar.

    Just noticed that a new garbage site of mine has a PR4. It has 2 PR0s and 1 PR2 pointing to it and noone would link to this site voluntarily.

    Let the Google conspiracy theories begin.

    I think this is an update to STABLIZE the rolling PR that people have been experiencing since the last update. It is having affects on new websites and a percentage of other more established websites. I believe these results will be rolled back since I think the main objective is to stablize PR from last update and its having some side effects.

    Case in point :

    ALL MY ESTABLISHED SITES NO PR MOVEMENT - BUT PR STABLIZED NOW ON ALL DATACENTERS.

    My new website 3 weeks old. 2 links coming in from a pr2 page. Its now a PR5

    Means Nothing

    It must be a glitch, for example this site www.pdawatch.net has a pr4, I never pointed any links to it (at least I don't remember doing so) and even yahoo doesn't show any backlinks to the domain and yet it's pr4, insane

    Edit: I guess with the link in this thread I should expect a pr6 in the next update :D
