It's not likely, but here's some conjecture about these seemingly inflated PRs. We've always suspected that PR is assigned on some kind of exponential scale. Perhaps they are moving closer to a plain linear scale, which would make earning higher PRs easier. I don't actually believe this, but it is a possibility.
I completely agree. Lets wait for a few days - let the dust settle down and if we see the green still in our toolbar (for websites that gained PR during this update) then
It seemsnormally to me. My home page is PR4 while inner page has pr range from 2-4. but big daddy show my site PR and that is a good news.
I was going to buy links to promote a new site, not sure now, with this over generous PR update I could end up buying worthless links
I am now a PR5, from PR0, on a site that was created on Feb 1st. It started getting 1000 uniques a day in the first two weeks of creation from google and keep going until the March 29th when on that day dropped to 40 uniques a day. Now it's a PR5 and still getting 40 uniques a day. I'm so confused!
My one new site jumped PR 0 to 5 overnight. Two sites which has nothing but "under development" page got PR 3. One site which is more than 8 months old, still with PR3 for last 3 months or more. What is going on with Google? I am totally puzzled how page rank works.
Don't be... There is no direct correlation between pr and serps. I'd suggest your new site is now sandboxed and is not highly ranked for your keywords.
Hello again, I realize my dream of breaking into the Website biz is not looking good after today HELP. How is it possible to have a higher page rank of 3 on my other pages and a 1 on my home page . I did not have adsense on the home page all the others did. I need your help dudes and dudetz.
This is insane, I cant believe it. I went from PR0 to PR6 on three sites that i started less than two months ago. Unfortunatly PR doesnt matter that much but still, i cant believe ive actually done it Maybe next update ill go from PR6 to PR12
I've only noticed changes on internal pages as well, 0 to 5 but for a totally new site nothing. Not going to read to much into it at the moment the way google is acting.
