I think Google is just working the bugs out with it's first Big Daddy update, all those high page ranks could be lowered in a couple of days. But PR still remains an important part of bringing in traffic from Google. Matt Cutts just recently stated that higher page rank will get your site crawled deeper by Google bots. My guess is "the sky is not falling". But I do like seeing PR5's on new sites.
Hi, New site about 1 / 2months old are going through Google PR update My site seohyd.com and seohyd.com/forum 2 months old got first Pr and it scores 5 now My other site webgraphicdesignindia.com also got Pr 4 Check your now I have found this tool which check in 73 DC at once livepr.raketforskning.com/ All the best
This is really very very weired update because i have analyzed some of the websites which have gained really very high page rank (6+) even MSN +Yahoo don't report high number of backlinks and more interestingly that few links which link them are really of no worth (in terms of PR ).... I am trying to conclude which class of websites are being generously given high page rank.Because if all PR zero or new websites are given high pr then my latest site (in my sig) has few high quality inbound links (PR6+) but its still pr ZERO. Or there is some another conspiracy going on...
I got PR5 for this: www.pictureframingcornwall.co.uk I have never done i think the only thing I did was post 1 link from another website which is pr3. Very strange. This PR ****cannot**** be real period
Oh my god! My new site (registered 2 months ago) just got a PR4 - showing on 80% of datacenters! It really doesn't check out. My other site, in a less competitive category has far more quality backlinks and stayed at PR3 in the xmas update. (edit: older site is 1yr old, so possibly a new algorithm is being used to calculate PR of these newer sites) Reasons I'm puzzled: No real quality backlinks, only 1 or 2 semi-authoritative sources. Serps don't reflect this PR. This is happening so very quickly The site, being honest, doesn't deserve a PR4 (yet!) It might be worth mentioning that during the prolonged PR shift 2 weeks ago, the Live PR (for the superstitious among us ) showed PR4 for this site for a few days. Now, in the last few days Live PR has stopped working. Could this possibly be an export of the Live PR for new sites around the time Google stopped publishing?
