The part in bold clearly tells you who sent the money. It was SCLocal, and not Junkyard.

yes, I am the buyer, I am the one who is out $50. A small price to pay just watch out for these kinds of people. My advice is to never send money as 'personal' I know I won't, can't dispute it. We'll see if paypal refunds me.

Sorry. I misread "Junkyard had me send money" as "Junkyard had send me money". So did you pay by credit card? Then I guess you can opt for a credit card charge back

Nope, I paid with my paypal balance; I called PayPal and spoke with a nice lady who forwarded my claim to the Fraud Dept. There's little they can do because I sent the payment as Personal, but we'll see.

Just wanted to let people here know to be vary wary of these types of people, I should have known something was up when I noticed that his one and only 'Profile Friend' was banned. Hope he gets the boot too.

there we go again. Another scammer in DP. It's hard to find genuine buyers these days. It happened to me a while ago and it cost me around 1000$. But I learned the hard way that paypal cant be used for anything other than sending money. I still receive money through paypal for my services but I look into the history of the buyer. I dont want to repeat the same mistake again and again. For low amount transactions as these we cant use escrow as the prices are well too high.

I'm a genuine buyer and a genuine seller and the majority of my transactions have been hassle-free and great, you just have to be wary I suppose.

@mrbestates: I agree, I should have known something was up, it was late last night and I wanted the domain for the name alone, in one of the last PMs I got from Junkyard he said: "Now Send Cash" I should have realized something was up, doing a whois of the site shitcandy.com gave me all his details and I have a few Indian friends who could track him down, if I really wanted to exhaust all my options that way.

$50 dollars is a small price to pay I suppose.

Please PM me his details...I am in India now and if he is somewhere near, I can find..

I lost money with another scammer few days ago and it really hurts, if we get cheated by someone...

I saw the scammer using another username and I reported the same to Mods and got him banned.

    Please PM me his details..

    Thank you

There is nothing practically you can do. Even if you get close to him he could give the lame excuse that some one hacked his account (Which is a common thing in DP for some time) or 100 other possible explanations. I would say leave the matter as the money at stake is not much. We have learned something. All of us get burned some way or the other.
