3rd party trust seals - do they work?

    Can anybody recommend a 3rd party trust seal that made a difference to their sales? I looked at squaretrade, (at $50 a month) and I wondered if there is something cheaper and if these things actually make a difference to conversion rates?

    From experience I've had, it does not help too much. I've used scanalert in the past and they did an A/B test for me to see if it helped. Negligible results, at best.

    From another forum; the best point made was: what is to stop you from making your own seal and sticking it up there? Why would they trust your seal less than some other company they probably never heard of?
