Not for long, I'd guess. Gmail has gotten in the habit of upping the storage on the email just to keep us all off-balance.

Who cares if it's bigger? I doubt I'll ever fill the 2gb that Gmail gives me & the spam filtering with gmail is the best I've seen from any webmail provider.

Does Walla offer any other redemeing qualities than size? Any new features?

Maybe Gmail is still the best, although its mailbox size is not the biggest. Anyway, is this 3GB the biggest free email on the Internet? Anyone came across any bigger?

    Anyone still using hotmail? ;)

I heard one guy did when it was a 1gb quota... he subscribed to everything in site and had people send him loads of files...

This might be a better option though. I haven't used it yet, but may set it up when I get home.

The problem with all these little services is that they can disappear at any time and you lose all your mails and have to find a new account.

No less than 3 DP posters have closed their email services which promised 4G 5G etc within a few months

gMail is plenty big enough, has tons of features and more importantly is stable!

There is nothing wrong with hotmail actually, apart from the mailbox size - it's just too small.

Anyway, my account with hotmail is still in use today, because I am using msn messenger ;) Also because the username is so short and nice. It's hard to register short usernames these days.

google is best - currently they are giving almost 2500+ mb space and soon it will cross 3gb markup - so no need to use any other service

Beyond 1 Gb, space is no longer important to me. Better stick with Gmail than smaller providers who may go bust in few months. My email = my life :D

I can honestly do with a 10mb email account. I dont see a need for so much space. Never have, probably never will
