3d text on surfaces of roads/buildings

    Is there a terminology and a method to create text on surface of buildings and roads, as if it hangs there, i've seen loads in movie credits, and below is an example... thank you

    You can easily do this in Photoshop using the perspective tool. Just make sure your text/graphic is on it's own layer, then go to "Edit > Transform > Perspective...".

    In addition, add the shadow / light effect to make it more interesting

    Yeah this is all photoshop. I'd just label that as simple 3d text.
