I just noticed that if you search for my domain (a western union affiliate) in Google, sendwu that one of Western Union's competitors has actually taken the time to buy AdWords on that "keyword". hehe That's kind of funny.
It's the same old story, if they can't work it, they'll buy it.. Have the leagles over @ WU figured out a way to complain about how well you're doing yet ?
Yeah, but they are really reaching at this point I think. They asked me to change the domain from sendwu.com to something without "wu" in it. But they were really nice about it, and are basically giving me more money to make the change than I would have normally made for the next 3 months, so it's no biggie. Also, they don't get ownership of the domain, so I'm just 301ing it for the links while I move everything over. The new domain is sendmoneytransfer.com (which I like better anyway).
Shawn, sorry that kinda sucks that they are making you change domains. But it's also kinda funny that someone is trying to bid on your domain name. That's the true measure of success.
That is awsome Shawn. I had a friend tell me about your site a while back. You are an inspiration to us all!
I have to agree with this. Shawn is the reason I keep telling myself to work harder on getting my sites done and to keep finding out more info on affiliate and SEO. I see SEO+Affiliate+Blog+RSS/XML feeds as being a real winning combination. I wish I could get more out of Shawn as far as tips go though. Shawn, what was the thing you did when creating your website sendmoneytransfer.com that gave you the biggest bump in traffic? Did you spend much time creating the site and thinking of "just the right text" or was it kind of thrown together and posted, then tweaked as you saw fit? Thanks.
