I used to make a lot more than that. What to say... adsense is not good for entertainment sites anymore. You cannot block zillion of MFA sites and this is driving me crazy. What do you prefer guys?
Yeah, that's definitely not great. There're just too many entertainment sites out there nowadays that advertisers aren't paying a whole lot for their ads. There really isn't anything that you can do about it, just try and get more traffic and increase your CTR.
I dont think its just entertainment sites, IMHO. Almost ALL kw's are paying less. You show me someone who is making MORE $$$ recently..most people are losing $$$ on a monthly basis, and are working harder to make less $$. More competition, google keeping more $$ thru their quality score, and advertisers getting tired of spending $$ without sales conversions. That is why google is moving towards a PPA system...ppc as we know it is dying. The new age is affiliate publishing, and google is out to make a move on Commision Junction and the rest. Should be interesting-
Thats pretty bad, but on my proxies it can get pretty low. Sometimes I can have over 100 clicks a day for somewhere around $9.
Iv noticed recently my ads on entertainment sites (most of them anyways) are averaging around 0.05 iv even been getting 0.01 =\
I almost get a feeling that more established sites get paid more per click than new sites with adsense, at least from my experience in entertainment niche
hey thats better then what i have been getting :-\ I have been getting about 2 cents per click which sucks big time.
Mind pm'ing me your URL? I can help out better that way. Don't get me wrong, some of my older 2yr + sites are up to 0.75 per click... which is awesome for celeb sites.
it's a myspace resource site, im not sure if you can help with that? I think I might try to change some content on the site to get higher paying myspace keywords.
LOL same here I have a site averaging 5000 unique a day, entertainment site also averaging 200-300 click a day but earnings is between $7 - $12 what a waste of click.... But it's hard to find an affiliate program for this kind of sites.... I agree also with BrianJump that not only entertainment related keyword but also other keyword like cars, pets, and even loans are keep dropping
