37 Easy Link Building Tips (For Beginners)

1. Create a list article. By this I mean creating a “top 10″, “100 best ways”, or any variation of these. People love to look at lists and they are very popular on the internet.

2. Create a list of helpful resources and tools that others can benefit from.

3. Create a “what not to do” article and explain the “do nots” about a certain topic. These are usually catchy and people love to avoid mistakes.

4. Make your content valuable, unique, and easy to understand. Try to keep the reader interested so that they will want to share your link.

5. Use spell and grammar checks for your articles. Bad spelling can give a bad impression and scare readers away.

7. Use websites like Squidoo, Tumblr, and Hubpages to post your content. Include links to your website.

If they are interesting enough, they will be shared through more people and your articles/website can become more popular, especially if you can get on the front page of Digg.

22. DMOZ and other directories are basically like the Yellow Pages for the internet. It is a massive directory divided up into categories so that you can find websites. You can submit your site to multiple directories and these will give you great backlinks plus some traffic.
