Basically I have a series of product images with the product rotating around just the y-axis, and I want to put it into some sort of flash/js/jq thing to where you can rotate the product - and of course it'll snap back to the first shot, or it's just fine if you have to scroll back the other way. Whatever is simpler! What's the best way to go about this? Should this be in the Development forum?!
You may want to have a look at PhotoSynth (http://photosynth.net/). I think they have an embed code that you can use on your site.
That may work if I was smart enough to figure out how to invert the pictures into some flattened-globe bubble thing haha. I'm going for basically the opposite idea - visually - but technically it is kind of like a seamless photo slider. I have all the shots, just need to display them sequentially.
PhotoSynth is for panoramas really - it would be tricky You can download a free 360 product rotator here: http://www.photogear360.com/software/18-webrotate-360-product-viewer.html
Okay, changed the direction entirely. Got a 3DS object file and using SketchFab to beautifully pull off a product display: https://sketchfab.com/show/lYaPEEBNzYJnS0O6vX9gFU3atV8
What are the obstacles for retailers that have made the implementation of 360 product photography so low to date? 1. Cost 2. Bandwidth 3. Difficulty 4. Desire 5. Proof of ROI
