Another point of note guys and girls. Focus on the travel and international health insurance products for the homepage - mainly travel. Home contents, life assurance and income protection can be a secondary link in the primary links or somewhere else out of the way.

    Thanks for the reply..

The blank spaces is kept for keeping the standard, everything is done for keeping the professional touch on it, because im not good in designing a fancy site with no spaces left!

Anyway, i will try to improve.

@CH: Can you show something which you're looking for?

I just saw some professionality on the websites you gave up, so, i did so..! ;)

Optional. However you may place attention to the:
Advisory guides, Feeds (Health, travel, expat, pandemic, etc), Company Blog feed, Twitter overheard feed and testimonials. Its really up to your designs and how they work well with the functionality and content I'v described in the requirements section.

    Good luck.

Just like I guessed, the contest holder has probably abandoned this contest.

Wow I certainly hope not because I've put hours of time into my design and I was planning on submitting it soon.

Hello guys, I was waiting for more entries to respond. I'm a bit concerned about the lack of entries however.. only 1 since I last posted with lots of more info - its supposed to work both ways

xyunaxfantasiesx: clearly the best entry so far but not exciting enough to take the cheese at this stage. Having said that I would have the following points to offer:
    • The header seems too complex - I'm not sure where to look and where the focus should be - try to eliminate some of the bars or consolidate links perhaps into overarching categories: 'for individuals & families' 'for business' 'how we can help', etc. - wording is also up to you. Search won't be a big aspect for the site, so this can be removed or tucked away somewhere.
    • The main focus of the body is on the core products which is good. I would like to be more enticed here to continue because right now it seems like a pretty version of a standard website - looking for more. Perhaps a more elaborate/stunning presentation that urges the user to click can be tried with a more exciting button/link/icon/etc than simply 'more >'.
    • The body text under the main conversion activities seems a bit rushed. Perhaps this area would be better used and help complement the conversion activities above it by displaying awards, testimonials, twitter overheard feeds, newest blog entries, news feeds and so forth - see what works well.
    • Generally I like the bottom portion of the body. The second (looks like home insurance) and forth pictures (doesn't help associated myself much with home contents insurance) could be better chosen.
    • Events - remove from page altogether
    • Customer login - perhaps this can be simplified and moved to the header so its easily accessible on every page.
    • I would like more attention to the footer - it kind of lets the rest of the page down I feel. Perhaps spread out the links here under categories as mentioned in a previous post.
I hope I haven't been too critical there. Just trying to give you earnest feedback.

I am glad to see that you have not abandoned this.
Thank you for the feedback, I will be working on some changes. Although I have a question, can you describe what you mean by overarching categories? Do you mean links on top of one another?

    Edit://

Here are my revisions: (I'm not sure what you would want me to put on the right side menu)

I think vertical categories was what you meant by overarching..I hope.

This is a mess - seems like a bubble bath site now. Try a different, minimalistic, web 2, fresh layout please.

Would you suggest that I give the same layout another approach or do a completely different design all together?

I apologize for not being able to get my design in sooner, and I'm also sorry because my design is not complete to the level that I wanted it.

I tried to keep my design very functional, professional, and clean.

Any comments on the design would be appreciated! :D

    Thanks,

Hey. Here is my concept. The width of the website is fluid (100% viewer's display). Also, i've made an custom logo for the site. All can be modified. Let me know what you think:

Thanks for all those that submitted. Frankly I was very dissapointed with the lack of entries and overall quality of the work produced. I cannot therefore in this case announce a winner as the submissions did not meet out expectations. Although I had good results with the logo contest I ran, this shall be the last time I run a web design contest. Good luck with your other designs.

Due to the way this contest was run.. you will not have anymore successful contests whether it be for a web design or logo. You cannot expect dozens of entries when you have a 0 iTrader score. You also were rude to one of the designers in this thread, and also you didn't give feedback on a majority of the designs people spent hours making.

If and when you decide to have another contest on this site, I will gladly let everyone know how well you ran this one.

Thank you for wasting our time,
    -David
