Contest $35 Prize! -- Iconic Logo Needed for Pool Service Company

Hello Designers!

My name is Gerad (Techs4Less). I have run many successful logo contests here on DP. I always choose a winner and always pay the winner. Depending on the quality of entries received, I also provide runner up prizes too (depends on # and quality of entries). I like to reward good designers!

I'm looking to get a logo design for one of my clients.

Name: CFLPoolServices.com
Company Description: CFL Pool Services is a pool maintenance and repair company in Central Florida (hence the CFL). They offer pool cleaning, repair and resurfacing services to both residential and commercial pool owners.

My client is looking for a iconic design. I don't want to give to much input on the design as the client wants to allow creative freedom. He just wants it to clearly show that it represents a pool company (water, cleaning, waves, etc.). Be creative. We like WIDE logos vs TALL logos. So keep that in mind when submitting entries.

Feel free to enter more than once. I will provide feedback on all entries received. I take these contest very seriously and appreciate the time you take to participate.

Thanks for the great response everyone! Got some great entries already. Its 1am here in Orlando and I want to provide solid feedback on all the entries submitted so far. Note: Just so you know how I operate. I get the client to review every entry and provide feedback on every entry. I expect to get 4-5 entries that are really solid and make the finalist list (short list). Once I get a solid short list I'll shut down the entries and then let the client choose the winner from the short list.

athrokkbaby (post #2/#4) - Great entry. The client liked this one. No changes suggested. This is a solid entry that's on the short list.

bandi (post #3) - I appreciate your time but the client declined this entry. It's just not the direction they are looking to go. They felt it was good, but it doesn't clearly show its a pool service company like the other entries do. Thank you for your time. You are welcome to try again.

jagodesign (post #6) - I like that your logo is clean and crisp (and the client did as well, but its not exactly clear what the company does based on the image. Thank you for your time. You are welcome to try again.

akhilrs (post #7) - Solid entry. The client liked the swimmer but "not crazy about the pool looking thing". Clean, simple and crisp. Would look great on a shirt or a car magnet. This is a good entry and its on the short list. Can you try another couple options on the pool part but keep the way the swimmer looks?

kainraziall (post #9) - Another solid entry. The client liked this one. Clearly shows they are a pool service company. Clean and crisp. Any more and it would be too busy. Great work. No changes requested. You are on the short list.

logos4all (post #10) - I personally like this one a lot. Its wide vs tall like the brief requested. The client liked it as well but didnt like the way the wave looked ("the wave makes the pool look wierd). Clean design and clearly communicates pool service. Great entry. You are on the short list. Can you please tweak the pool/wave some? Maybe provide a couple different options on the wave?

kainraziall (post #13) - great work, the client liked it, but they said it was a little too busy ("there is a lot going on"). Can you simplify the pool some. Maybe get rid of the splashes, shorten the ladder (make it a little less tall), and just make it a little cleaner. Thanks! This has potential too. Your on the short list.

Honestly, there were some GREAT entries so far. I'm REALLY excited for my client. Really happy with what has been submitted so far.

I think the shortlist is pretty long already (athrokkbaby, akhilrs, kainraziall, logos4all). Going to leave it open for new entries for another 24-48 hours. then I'll finalize the shortlist and work with the client to choose the winners. I'll def be giving a $10 second place prize and a $5 third place prize.
