$35 Logo contest – Amsterdam.Org

Hi,

I’m looking for the following Logo and slogan to be created:

Amsterdam.Org
Your in depth guide to the City of Amsterdam

1st prize is: $35 paid via Paypal
Competition end: Friday 4th September 18:00 GMT
All entries to be posted on thread
There will be a winner whether i get what i want or not. I always pay.

I'd like the logo to look classy and professional but modern, fashionable, trendy and cutting edge - it must also be fresh.
I do want to be able to read the name very easily (letters must be clear.)
I’m not sure about emblems but it would be nice to see some logos with these built in as well.

At this stage I’m open to all ideas.
Detailed feedback will be given for all entries and the thread will be updated with tips and ideas on a regular basis.

Hey guys – thanks for the entries so far.

Here’s some feedback:

General – I’ve had an idea – it may or may not work, but maybe have pictures in or on top of the letters – maybe a lady lying on one of the letters or her leg draped around (keep it clean) a bicycle, Canals, windmills – anything very Dutch and better if it’s associated with Amsterdam.
As I said this may or may not work – but maybe someone would like to give it a try.

Also I am not looking for a porn site – so XXX will not work on the design.

Gorgon – This is a nice design – it looks professional, but it feels like it’s missing something I’m just not sure what. Still I like the general idea.

Thelebeau – thanks for the entry, sadly it’s not what I’m looking for. The XXX are a put off as well.

Anasone – it’s very clean and professional looking. Sadly the xxx again lets it down.

Aderain – quite nice fresh designs. I like the top one more than the bottom. Could you make it a little more related to Amsterdam?

Boburakram – thanks for entering, sadly the design isn’t what I’m after.

Please keep them coming – I look forward to seeing more entries.

 

Tulips not Amsterdam enough eh? I'll see what I can do to remedy it.

I think the XXX thing is actually Amsterdam's flag, according to Google.

 

Aderain - i like the tuips - don't get me wrong - i just think it needs a little more. That and Gorgon's design are no.1
