Contest $35 LED T-shirt design (Vector) - 48hrs

Aloha, my name is Tom Pearson and I’m holding this contest for a light-up (LED) t-shirt design. The client will be Kahuku Red Raiders – a high school football team. They require a design that will be visible in a crowd.

An LED or electro-luminescent panel lights-up in various colors in response to music or noise in the wearer’s environment. Different colors can be used for the LED panel – however, rainbow colors, rasta colors (red, yellow & green) and the school color (red) are the preferred color options.
If you use lettering, we would ask that you use ‘Red Raiders’, ‘Kahuku Red Raiders’ or ‘Raider Nation’. Since Kahuku Red Raiders have an American Indian theme, any icon or symbol that reflects this would be nice to include in your design.

The light-up panel needs to be as simple and clear as possible for the manufacturer – therefore, you can decide whether to put text and a symbol on the panel, or text that will be printed on the t-shirt and just the symbol on the light-up panel.

The contest will run for 48 hours or until a clear winner is chosen. The winner will need to provide their design in Vector and PSD format, as this design will be printed on t-shirts (and LED panels).

The winning designer will receive $35, paid through paypal. Please let us know in the thread if you have any questions.

@sushant1221 thanks for your submission. Ideally, the design would need to fit on a rectangular panel on the t-shirt, unless you have some text printed on the t-shirt and just a simple icon or symbol on the light-up panel.

I'm showing 2 frames, the lighter one is how would they look like when lighted up. The animated gif is an idea how would they light up to the beat.

@sushant1221 The client doesn't like the football figure very much, your the way the words are laid out on your second submission is better.

 

@luckidesign - Thanks your for your submission. The words and colors look good. Maybe you could incorporate a symbol of some kind?

 

@mvg777 - very nice submission. The client is considering this. I like how each of the Indian heads light up. The LED panel is activated by noise (like an equalizer) - I'm just wondering how this would look with various levels of the panel being lit-up. It's not often that the whole image will be lit-up because the environment the person is in will not always have maximum, constant noise. The client would be interested to see any other attempts.

@Ana Designs - thanks for your submission Ana - your concept is simple and clear and looks good. As you can see from the example images - the panel has cells or blocks that light-up, not dots. I'm just wondering how your design would look on a standard light-up panel. I would also be interested to see an icon/picture of some sort (perhaps American Indian-related).

@biili - Thank you. Your design looks nice but does not meet the brief. The client wants to see how the light-up panel would look. You could use a single icon/picture on the panel, Text on the panel, or Text printed on the t-shirt with a light-up design on the panel...it's up to you.

So far everyone's design have been of good quality and the client is impressed. Just make sure that your light-up design will work in varying levels of light-up (like an equalizer).
