$35 for 2 clicks on Adsense?

I looked at my Adsense stats an hour ago and noticed that the dollar amount was rather high for that early in the day. I checked and the reason why was because one single page earned over $35, but it only had 2 clicks and about 100 page views. Any idea why that paid so much? You think someone actually bought a product when they clicked the ad?

 

It must have been an expensive product.... but you get paid for clicks, not sales.

You got that amount because of your webpage quality and keyword ,that matters in your webpage !

 

It must have been a good keyword or you got a conversion. Google rewards for that.

You must have just struck gold on the keyword that you are promoting, just try and send more traffic at it now or rank higher up on Google then you will see these stats every day

I thing that it is rather a conversion...Keyword? I doubt. So many for two clicks...

 

A CPA conversion or affiliate commission would be no surprise, but $35 for clicks is not unheard of. I know because I once got a click on an insurance-related site for $38.50! But it was only once and most clicks are way below that. With adsense it's really hard to get a click for more than $2.

So I will let you in on a little secret:

The Google content or display network has mostly cheap ads that run on your crappy sites. The quality of traffic is low and since you all click on your ads, the value for the advertiser is poor. You know this.

What you may not know is that while you can ad a search box from your adsense account, the ads that show from them are NOT part of the content network, but the Search Partners. This means that the click amounts for search ads are going to be much, much, higher on average. If you check this I think you will find that it is still true.

For more fun, experiment with mobile ads for added income.

Enjoy it now, because at some point I can see Google and the other PPC engines going to a "flat rate" pay model where advertisers pay to show on your site and don't pay by the click anymore. It's the only way to cut down on all the fraud.

 

Not really sure what paid you that much. But if I were you, I would make 10 more sites based off of the same content you have on the one that just paid you that much for 2 clicks and get more content out there and duplicate yourself over and over.
