Hello graphic designers! I've been overwhelmingly pleased with the results of past contests for website graphics, but this time I need something a little different - a business card. The talent on here is amazing and I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. $35 contest. Ends Thursday September 2, around 10:00am eastern time. I own a website company and I'm looking to have a business cards made. I want it to look good and the pre-made designs I found online weren't cutting it for me. ----- What I need: I'm thinking of a basic oval-shaped logo with the name of the company, then some general information. Even though it's a website company, I'm *not* looking for pictures of computers or mice or anything like that - I'd prefer a generic logo. Simple, but elegant, I guess is the style I'm looking for. Card should have space for name, mailing address, phone, email, and website Logo Text / Company: T.P.W. Websites, LLC Logo Shape: Oval shape with name of Company Inside Logo Colors - Dark green and gold? Dark green and yellow? Size - Printing company requires 3.54" x 2.05", 90mm x 52mm, 1062 x 615 pixels I'll provide you with details of the company address, phone, email, etc after the contest ends. When you submit, feel free to use made-up information. Looking for card/logo that is unique and brand-able. ----- Details: Contest ends Thursday, Sept. 2nd, around 10am eastern time. I reserve the right to extend the contest or choose no winner if I don't love what I see. Please be sure all work is original, designed by you. Please do not use clip art from other sources, or photos. Winner can be paid via paypal. Final product should be sent as a jpeg or bitmap, but I'd also like the original psd or ai file (or whatever you create it with) so I can update it in the future if I need to. I will try to provide feedback when I can. ---- Thanks in advance to all who enter the contest! I'm excited to see some terrific designs. - Tim
Wow - contest is off to a great start. These look terrific. adwaitk007 - I really the like colors and the modern, web2.0 shine you put on the card. The logo on the left side is a neat design element. Only suggestion - or question - is where would you recommend putting the website address? Looks great, though. podmatrix - I like the varied tones in the green color choices, and the curved division in the middle to spearate the logo from the text. Wondering what the bottom text would look like with a different type of font (Maybe century cothic with caps and lower case?) - the large white letters do look a little blocky. Besides the white font/letters, I do like everything about this card. Thank you podmatrix and adwaitk007! Both designs are definite contenders.
Went for web 2.0, if you want something more corporate-looking, let me know. Cheers! EDIT: Woops, forgot about the corners
podmatrix - Thanks for the update. I like the lowercase letters. thelegendary - Haha... your names and phrases made me laugh. The gold is interesting - it gives the card a rich, professional feel - but I think I prefer the "cool colors" a little better. I think gold makes a better accent color than background. Nice job with the web 2.0 style - I like it much better than "corporate feel" . adwaitk007 - Thanks for adding the website. Both very good placements. Awesome design. Note to all: I was just checking on the prices of the printing. Even though I love the round corners, I will be ordering cards with regular corners - NOT want round corners - because the cost is three times as much. Awesome entries so far - too close to call at this point. I haven't rulesd any out.

My entry: Feedback appreciated... I can also put it in a fancy pile with a shadow and reflection if that will help, lol.
