Contest $35 - College accounting club logo - 48 Hours

I'm looking for a new logo for an accounting club at my college. It's called the Student Accountancy Society. This is our current logo:



This was designed by an accountancy student a while back and I personally think it's pretty bland; also, there's no way someone on the street would know it stands for "Student Accountancy Society". It's just not intuitive.

That being said, I brought this up at our last meeting (I'm a member of the Executive Board) and was given the go-ahead to come up with a new or at least secondary logo for merchandise.

Requirements:

There's really not that much in the way of requirements. The only thing I can think of is either have it say "Student Accountancy Society" or have the initials S.A.S in it. Other than that, we're just looking some creative ideas.

Format:

As this will also be used for merchandise such as t-shirts, hoodies, business cards, etc (I'll probably hold contests for these later) I'll need the final product in vector format of a sufficient DPI for printing.

Deadline:

Our next meeting is on October 19, 5:00pm CST so all submissions need to be in a half hour before then so I can prepare them to show them to the board.

Prize:

$35 will go to the winner via Paypal.

Well, these will all ultimately be judged by our entire board but I'll try to give some personal feedback based on my opinion of what they're looking for:

Those look a little too corporate.

I'm liking that one. Could you try making the calculator a little more modern looking? Maybe some rounded corners instead of the sharp corners? And can you give a red version as well? (our school's color is red)

Those are bit too simple. We're looking for something a bit more professional looking but not too stuffy (think young-professional).

Not sure if the board would go for the backwards "S"; seems a bit too unorthodox.

I have to say, if I had the final choice, you would be in the lead right now. It's clean yet distinctive so there's no mistaking what it represents. I also like how you've captured the "college-feel". Could you maybe give me two more variations, one in red (here's our school's home-page for a sample) and one in black? Also, would it be possible to show me a version with the stars replaced with our school's "huskie" (just the head, not the words)? Here's a link to the highest-res version I could find:
