I was wondering if someone knowledgeable about adsense can help me understand something. If you had a small network of sites getting around 3000 hits a day do you think earning about $40 a day is acceptable? I would think this would be more. These sites belong to a friend of mine and they are all related to fishing if this helps. Is there some guidelines as to what should be expected on a certain amount of traffic or is it just a completely random thing as to what sites make decent money? Thanks Hanna
3000 hits? you mean maybe 3000 ad impressions? ... with 3000 ad impressions its possible if the cpm is $15/a day, i dont know how much fishing niche pays so i cant help ya really.
Hi Seiya He says around 3000 unique hits a day. I'm not exactly sure what ad impressions mean. Sorry. I'm not experienced with this at all but was getting interested. Hanna
3000 visits means 3000 page impressions. But what is the CTR value ? How many clicks you get per day ?
Thats actually quite reasonable.... I would say its good $40 for 3000 visitors is more then average but it depends on your niche and i am not sure about your fishing niche
As everyone said it all depends on the niche there is no total average thingy... If you had a cancer related niche then even $80 would be kinda low for 4000 uniques
That's about right. There are different niches within fishing and I'm sure there's some variation in pay, but I've got one in that niche getting around the same eCPM and it's very well-optimized.
I can't imagine a sishing niche to pay all that much for an average click, but not nearly as low as some of those entertainment sites.
Yes, but she says her friend gets that from different sites not only one. Hanna, you need to tell us more: CTR average, clicks, how many sites, etc..
This could be OK, but if you would earn more, there wouldn't be nothing weird. But could be also less.
It's all in how good are the ads blend in: both colors and ads. Fishing brings arround $20 CPM. So I would say for 3000 ad impressions he should get maybe ... $60. Ask him to optimize the ads better. (mentol)
